Our Story
Leadership Inclusive began with a simple but powerful idea: create a gathering place for people who care deeply about making workplaces more inclusive and equitable. In September 2011, a handful of professionals from some of Nashville’s top companies came together to share ideas, build relationships, and support one another. What started as an informal circle of passionate peers quickly grew as word spread – proof of just how much our community was hungry for this kind of connection and shared purpose.
By April 2012, the group formalized its efforts and became the Tennessee Diversity Consortium (TDC), providing a structured space for collaboration, shared learning, and leadership development. For over a decade, the TDC served as a trusted network for professionals across the region.
Now, in 2025, the TDC is entering a new chapter as Leadership Inclusive. After incorporating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2024, we are stepping into this next phase with fresh energy and a broader vision – expanding our reach and introducing new programs. While the name is new, the heart of the work remains the same: bringing people together to strengthen their leadership, learn from one another, and drive meaningful change in their organizations and communities.
